Pre-Sale Questions – CMS & WYSIWYG
Thank you for your pre-sale questions. Please see the answers below:
1. Do you have a WYSIWYG page editor?
Yes. The theme uses Magento 2’s built-in WYSIWYG editor.
Magento provides a visual editor for:
- CMS Pages
- CMS Static Blocks
- Product Descriptions & Short Descriptions
The editor allows switching between visual and HTML modes and supports images,
widgets, and media insertion. This is standard Magento functionality and works
fully with the Athlete2 theme.

2. How is the CMS block added to the product detail page (like the demo)?
The product detail page shown in the demo (example link below) is created using
Magento CMS Static Blocks combined with Widgets,
not a custom page builder.

Method A – Insert CMS Block inside Product Description
- Go to Admin → Catalog → Products
- Edit the product
- Open Description or Short Description
- Click Show / Hide Editor
- Click Insert Widget
- Select CMS Static Block
- Choose the block and insert
- Save the product
This embeds the CMS block directly into the product description area.
Method B – Add CMS Block via Magento Widget (Recommended)
- Go to Content → Widgets → Add Widget
- Select CMS Static Block
- Choose a store view
- Set layout update to Product Page
- Select the container (e.g. Main Content Area)
- Select the static block
- Save the widget
This method allows you to place CMS blocks on product pages without editing
each product individually.
Why the Demo Looks More Advanced
The demo content includes:
- Pre-configured CMS static blocks
- Widgets assigned to product page layouts
- Theme layout containers defined by Athlete2
When importing demo data, these blocks and widget assignments are automatically created.
